ELDERS
The ministry of Geist Community Church is under the direction of the Lord Jesus Christ working in and through the elders. The elders are the primary decision-making body within the church but their focus and ultimate responsibility is guarding the spiritual health and doctrinal soundness of the church body.

DEACONS
The deacons function primarily as servants of the GCC church body. In Acts 6 the office of deacon was established by God to “free up” pastors/elders so they could devote themselves to prayer and study of the Word.

At GCC this means Deacons are to oversee congregational care, which includes evaluating needs and developing appropriate responses to meeting those needs throughout the church.
